June Luncheon Meeting
Friday, June 10, 2016 11:30am-1:00pm
The MSIA luncheon meeting in Kansas City is scheduled for Friday, June 10, 2016. The featured speaker will be Katja Sebestyen, Pain Rehab Program Coordinator for QLI's Chronic Pain Management Program.
QLI's Chronic Pain Management Program offers a unique and individualized approach to pain rehabilitation that is based on a solid foundation of the principles of the biopsychosocial treatment model. Within an inpatient setting, an interdisciplinary team works tirelessly to not only wean clients off narcotic pain medication but also to help each individual return to a meaningful, positive, and productive life path. A strong emphasis is placed on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as restoring healthy and functional movement patterns as applied to everyday, functional tasks. One of the biggest differentiators of QLI's program is its intensive transition and follow-up services that are designed to ensure successful long-term outcomes.
