The MSIA breakfast meeting in St. Louis is scheduled for Friday, June 3, 2016.  The featured speakers will be Richard Vallie and Dr. Patricia Hurford.  Both will give a thirty minute presentation.

Richard Vallie is a former New Orleans Police Officer and is now owner/investigator for Claims Investigations, LLC.  Mr. Vallie will explain the methods and techniques he honed as a New Orleans Police Officer to gather and preserve evidence.  What is evidence.  How to identify evidence.  Collecting evidence.  Chain of custody.  Managing evidence.  He will illustrate this using a real workers' compensation case.

Dr. Patricia Hurford is affiliated with Orthopedic Sports Medicine and Spine Care Institute and her presentation will be on The Microbiome:  The Second Genome.  The most important genome in your body may not be your own.  Dr. Hurford will continue to explore the fast-paced research being conducted on understanding the 100 trillion microorganisms that live in our gut, mouth, skin and other mucosal surfaces of our bodies.  How medicine may be changing how many human disorders may be treated in the future.
