St. Louis Breakfast Meeting

The MSIA Breakfast Meeting on Friday, December 5 will feature Diane Leek, MSN, RN, LNCC CCM, Manager of Health Care Consulting for RGL – Forensic Accountants and Consultants and Jason A. Browdy, MD, of St. Louis-Clayton Orthopedic Group, Inc. who will speak on:

"A Forensic And Medical Analysis To Differentiate Pre-Existing And Age Related Conditions Of The Knees"

With the aging population, knees are the most frequently seen injury that requires surgery. Avoiding surgeries that are clearly not caused by the work environment is a very worthwhile goal. The problem many employers and claims adjusters face is not knowing how to differentiate and separate out the pre-existing condition from the injury in an objective evidence-based manner that would hold up under judicial scrutiny. A forensic and medical analysis can provide the data and information necessary to make that differentiation.

Kansas City Breakfast Meeting

The MSIA Breakfast Meeting on Friday, December 12 will feature Matthew Clough, Vice President of Quality Living, Inc. in Omaha, Nebraska will speak on:

"Comprehensive Post-Acute Rehabilitation For Individuals With Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)"

You will learn the facts about Acquired Brain Injury (ABI); the physical symptoms; basic post-acute healthcare treatments for brain injured clients; and the applied and functional approach to rehabilitation.
